It really struck me as I was reading through this passage thinking about what I was going to write just how keen Mark is to stress that Jesus is the Son of God. That opening verse is certainly not at all ambiguous, and I feel that the rest of this passage is similarly clear! It's certainly an amazing start to the gospel.
