Great article Simon, and a good start to our new series. I'm looking forward to reading more.

I love Mark's straight to the action Gospel. No frills, no extras, just the facts plain and simple.

Thanks, Ali!

It really struck me as I was reading through this passage thinking about what I was going to write just how keen Mark is to stress that Jesus is the Son of God. That opening verse is certainly not at all ambiguous, and I feel that the rest of this passage is similarly clear!

It's certainly an amazing start to the gospel. I can't wait to go through the rest of the gospel with the Crossring Community!

This is a really helpful article, Simon. Thanks!

I am often struck by how blunt Mark is in this passage, especially the opening verse: that Jesus' identity is so clearly and persuasively made so quickly is something I think we often forget.
