Crossring: A brief introduction

by    8th August 2009    0 responses

Crossring, incorporating Focus on Faith, was originally founded in 2000 and rapidly gained a reputation as one of the UK’s leading websites for young Christians.  The site was relaunched in 2009 in a new format reflecting developments in the Internet over the past half-decade.

Crossring is an open community where anyone is welcome to participate.  However, our content accords with our statement of beliefs known as our Basis of Faith.  Although many of our users are from the United Kingdom, everyone from around the world is equally welcome here: we try to keep national references to a minimum.

Our aim is simple – to meet to together online to contribute to discussion about and to learn more of God in a desire to love him more.  As such, we aim to help strengthen the faith of our visitors whilst helping to equip them for personal evangelism.  An active lifestyle of prayer and Bible reading inform the collective work of our community.

There are three main areas to Crossring. These are:

  • Crossring Daily Reading – a simple, quick-to-read devotional piece based on a verse or two of scripture each day, taken from a longer daily Bible reading plan;
  • Crossring Articles – longer, more in depth articles encompassing Bible studies, testimonies, inspirational pieces of writing and more;
  • Discussion Forums – the hub of our online community, where Christians and others from around the world can meet to discuss tricky issues, ask questions, and share fellowship;

There’s something for everyone at Crossring. We hope that you enjoy your visit to the site, that you will contribute to the discussion, and that you will come back soon!  If you have any feedback at all about the site, please do get in touch – we’d love to hear from you! Please see our Contact Page.

For more detailed information about the site, and how you can get involved, please see the Crossring Guide.

What's On Crossring

Crossring is a community of Christians who meet together online in fellowship around the Christian faith and the Bible.

As part of our active lifestyle of prayer and Bible reading, we are currently reading a small section of the Bible together each day and sharing our responses to it with each other. We also publish a short devotional thought on a key verse or two from each day's passage to prompt prayer or reflection.
