The with our articles, we aim to equip our readers to love God more. This often means to know more of him; to explore a Bible passage or theme, or to look at a Biblical doctrine. Other times it may be a creative piece; a short story or poem. With each article, though, we hope to encourage readers to think about their faith and pray that they will be strenghtened in it as a result.
The vast majority of writing on the site is written by “unprofessional” Christians – that is, laypeople without specific theological training, many of whom are relatively young. With this in mind, we strongly encourage all of our readers to have a go at writing for Crossring. It is not only a great way to share something God has placed on your heart, but many people who write articles say they are more challenged and encourged by the subjects they have written articles on as a result of the more careful attention they have paid. We also occasionally publish pieces by professional Christian writers.
If you think you would like to have a go at writing for the website, we would love to hear from you, even if you’ve never written anything like a Crossring article ever before! If you are unsure, we can recieve a draft and suggest areas that might need to be tweaked before publishing – but almost always the draft is more than adequate!
Most of our articles are commissioned within series, and so we tend to approach people that we know about – often people who have written before. If you would like to write an article as part of a series, however, do get in touch. Writing as part of a series can often be a great way of starting to write, since you will be given guidance about the approach to take, and will usually be asked to base your article around a specific piece of scripture or theme.
We publish reviews of both Christian literature and resources, and of cultural items of interest to Christians, such as films and novels. These are occasionally commissioned, but more often than not are submitted unsolicited.
Additionally, we often post stand-alone articles or articles in a long-running theme, like testimonies. These are often unsolicited articles that we have received. If God has placed something on your heart, and you would like to share it with other Crossring visitors, do feel free to submit an article to Crossring. If you prefer a little more freedom, writing a one-off article could be the best option for you! Do take a look through our article index to see what kind of features we have published in the past. We particularly welcome testimonies, advice on Christian living, prayer-related articles and Bible studies, but are willing to look at almost anything – providing it conforms to our guidelines!
Obviously, on a website of this nature, we do have a number of guidelines which need to be considered when submitting an article:

Crossring is a community of Christians who meet together online in fellowship around the Christian faith and the Bible.
As part of our active lifestyle of prayer and Bible reading, we are currently reading a small section of the Bible together each day and sharing our responses to it with each other. We also publish a short devotional thought on a key verse or two from each day's passage to prompt prayer or reflection.
