Sex, God and Marriage

Johann Christoph Arnold is a pastor and counsellor in the United States. He has written many books and articles, most of which Christians find difficult to swallow. This, “Sex, God and Marriage” may be one of the hardest in this day and age, where what used to be seen as sinful, immoral conduct, is now seen as “different expressions of love” and “alternative family structure”.

Sex, marriage and God digs deeper than the usual “issues” and goes to the root: our relationship with God, and the defining power of that relationship over all others in our lives. Arnold addresses the deep pain resulting from the cycle of broken relationships and the misuse of sexual intimacy. His words offer healing, a new beginning, and a sense of hope to those who have experienced discouragement or failure.

The book contains chapters on sex, alternatives to dating, parenthood, singleness, homosexuality, abortion and remarriage. It is based on experience and written to be understood. It involves biblically sound teaching, and is not the least bit “watered down”.

This book should upset the conscience, and make you think about any relationship you are in. It has been an invaluable guide in my life, and everyone should read it, whether married or single.

What's On Crossring

Crossring is a community of Christians who meet together online in fellowship around the Christian faith and the Bible.

As part of our active lifestyle of prayer and Bible reading, we are currently reading a small section of the Bible together each day and sharing our responses to it with each other. We also publish a short devotional thought on a key verse or two from each day's passage to prompt prayer or reflection.
